5 Signs That You Need A WordPress Care Plan

The Tell-Tale Signs That You Need A WordPress Care Plan

Your ‘updates available’ number is in double figures.

We’ve all experienced it at least once you perform an update, and it breaks something on your site, so you put off doing any updates for fear of breaking something again.

Updates are essential to the health and security of your site. They can often include patches to security and bring your site in line with the latest browser and web standards. Ignoring updates can become more detrimental to your site in the long run.

If it’s site updates you are fearful of, then The Basic Plan is the perfect WordPress Care Plan for you. I use a staging site (a copy of your site) to test all updates before applying them to your live site.

You are not backing up your site regularly enough (or ever! 🤦🏻‍♀️)

I get it, backups are boring as hell, but if you are not backing up your site regularly (daily or weekly), you are at risk of losing everything. Ignoring your site updates compounds this risk because you are missing out on essential security updates.

If your site becomes a victim of malware or hacking, you will likely have no way to recover lost data (which may include your customer data). All the effort you have put into optimising content, generating traffic and building trust with your customers could all disappear overnight.

All my WordPress care plans include daily or weekly backups stored on a secure cloud server separate from your site’s server.

You don’t log in to your site more than a couple of times a year

This goes back to points 1 and 2. If your site is largely static and you don’t update the content more than once or twice a year, it can be easy to fall behind on updates and backups. This reduced usage may also mean you do not notice if your site goes down until a customer contacts you and mentions it.

With my uptime monitoring service (included in all care plans), I will be immediately alerted if your site goes down; I will investigate and alert you ASAP if the issue requires your input or requires you to contact your host.

You find yourself googling for WordPress solutions far too often

The Better Plan and The Best Plan each include a number of Zippy Tasks in the plan each month. These can be used to request minor tasks such as style changes to the theme or widgets of your site, installing and setting up new plugins, or other small non-essential tasks.

You feel out of your depth when it comes to doing anything with WordPress

All my WordPress care plans include email support; use this to reach out and ask questions: “How do I create an About page?” “How can I change the colour of buttons?” “How do I add a new link to a menu?” There are no stupid questions, and I want to help you learn how to manage your site independently.

You want a hands-off approach

You want someone else to manage the boring tasks like updates, back-ups etc., so you can focus on producing great content, selling great products and providing a quality experience to your readers and customers.

I can help!

For years I have managed WordPress Websites for a handful of clients that I created sites for. Still, I never considered offering this service to those outside my existing client portfolio for some unknown reason. (🤷🏻‍♀️ Literally no idea why!) So, I have decided now is the time to offer WordPress Care Plans to anyone who needs them.

All plans include standard monthly maintenance:

  • WordPress Core Updates
  • Theme Updates (using a child theme)
  • Plugin Updates
  • Off-site backups
  • Email Support

The Basic Plans also includes:

  • A 5% discount on additional services

The Better Plan also includes:

  • 1x Zippy Task each month
  • 10% discount on additional services

The Best Plan also includes:

  • 3x Zippy Tasks each month
  • The Elementor Pro Page Builder Plugin
  • 15% discount on additional services

See the comparison table.

Getting started on a plan is as simple as heading over to the WordPress Care Plans page, selecting your plan and completing the payment form. I will then reach out directly to request access to your WordPress site.

Don’t need a monthly plan?

If you’re just looking for a quick fix or small task and don’t need all the other elements of a care plan, Zippy Tasks can be purchased independently of care plans or in addition to them. Head over to the Zippy Task request form to find out if you’re task qualifies.
